Esaase-Bontefufuo (Ash), July 8, GNA - Mr Ben Kwakye-Adeefe, Amansie West District Chief Executive, has inaugurated a 144 million-cedi business centre that the Saint Joseph's Catholic Parish built.

The centre has facilities for communication, credit union office, a cold store and cement depot.

Mr Kwakye-Adeefe commended churches that were supporting the government to develop communities in which they operated and mentioned the Catholic Church as an example.

He appealed to the government to speed up action on maintaining roads in the district, as there were no tarred roads in the area. The Reverend Father James Owusu, the Parish Priest, said work on a 24-seater KVIP place of convenience by the church would begin soon. He said a health centre funded by the church had been completed and would soon be inaugurated.

Nana Serwaa Akenten II, Queenmother of Esaase, who presided over the function, pledged the support of her people to the church in its bid to develop the community.
