DCE wins Agona East NPP primaries

Agona Swedru, Oct 4, GNA - The District Chief Executive for Agona, Mr John Kwesi Agyabeng, has won the Agona East constituency primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He polled 79 votes to beat Mr Ben Mensah, Deputy Managing Director of the State Housing Company, who had 12 votes, with Mr Kofi Anaman getting one vote.

He polled 79 votes to beat Mr Ben Mensah, Deputy Managing Director of the State Housing Company, who had 12 votes, with Mr Kofi Anaman getting one vote.
Addressing the delegates after the election Mr Lord Commey, National Organiser of the NPP, commended the Agona East constituency for the orderly manner in which the election was conducted. He said the NPP would not impose any candidate on the constituencies but would allow the people themselves to make their own choice. Mr Agyabeng thanked the delegates for their support and pledged to work harder than before to wrestle the seat from the NDC in the next year's election.
