Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa
The Volta Region has welcomed the launch of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), a government initiative aimed at expanding road network coverage, increasing accessibility, and enhancing mobility in the region.
At a ceremony held in Ho, the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, handed over 117 pieces of equipment to 18 municipal and district assemblies in the Volta Region, including rollers, backhoes, concrete mixers, bulldozers, and tipper trucks.
The Volta Resistance Movement, an advocacy group in the region, has applauded the government for the project, stating that it will significantly boost the local economy and improve access to essential services.
"We commend the Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, for his efforts in bringing development to our region. We urge all stakeholders to work in the interest of the people and ensure proper maintenance of the equipment to sustain the project's impact," said Delanyo Agbe, spokesperson for the group.
The group also called for more projects like DRIP in other critical sectors such as job creation, agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure development.
As the region celebrates this milestone, the Volta Resistance Movement has reiterated its commitment to advocating for development that benefits the people of the Volta Region and the country at large.
