.... A king of our time indeed! Hoooraaay!! (abeadze ahobaa kese festival 2013)
His Majesty, Honourable Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII(Omanhen/Paramount Chief of Abeadze tradional area, the Second term un-opposed President of Central Regional House of Chiefs & Immediate past member of council of state). In fact, without mincing of words the Abeadze Ahobaa Kese festival 2013 under the Theme: “Ahobaa Kese Festival, A Tool for Translating Our Rich Cutural Heritage Into Development” was beautifully and colourfully organized with heavy attendance and surprisingly no-one you invited to the festival turned down your invitation starting from the 1st gentleman of the nation H.E John Dramani Mahama to the last person which indeed was a great testimony to how much you’re valued across the nation and beyond, Big Congratulation!. And the most highly rated among all the activities was your spectacular, flowery, affable, eloquent, excellent and down to the core speech full of deep words of wisdom you have delivered to us your subjects which had in fact greatly mellowed us all present and it was undeniably re-assuring as I was nodding my head and I saw H.E John Dramani Mahama, the media folks and the entire gathering doing same and listening with rapt attention. Certainly, I have now come to the full realization of the fact that your great-grand father, Abeadzeman’s first revered King, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi I was not just a mere signatory to the famous 1844 Gold Coast bond which serves as a famous document that set the time table for the nation’s independence from the British rule but due to the rich wisdom, unique knowledge and the will-power that he possess and used profitably to the benefit of the entire nation and whose blood has proudly transcended down to you which was also affirmed in the Goodwill messages of Professor Nabila (President of National House of Chiefs) and His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II(Asantehene) and many many of your peers Goodwill messages to you and I know very well the Great Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi I and your direct father would be smiling at you from afar for keeping the pace and the fire burning for them. It is also worth pointing out that in your speech you commended the government led by the late Prof. J E A Mills and his Joshua of our time, H.E John Dramani Mahama for their tiredless effort in bringing development to the door-step of the Abeadze traditional area(i.e expanding and improving on the road net-work, electricity, water, schools, police station among others) and you further appealed to government to provide the people with a Teacher’s Training College. You also appealed to the government to continue and complete all development projects initiated by late President John Evans Atta Mills in the area. On the development projects in the area, President Mahama announced that government would upgrade the clinic in Abeadze into a polyclinic. And on behalf of the great Abeadzeman and for that matter the entire citizens of Central Region, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII congratulated H.E John Dramani Mahama and Mr. Nana Akuffo Addo for their maturity they had exhibited during the Supreme Court election petition hearing till adjudication. Abeadze Ahobaa Kese festival 2013 happen to be one of the rare festival if not the only festival across the nation whose grand durbar was witnessed to be celebrated two days after the supreme court adjudication and in cementing that fact H.E John Dramani Mahama used this occasion as a medium to extend further his appreciation to the people of Ghana by saying "We must be proud of our country; and we the people also need to be proud of ourselves as we are law abiding and respect the constitution of our dear country" .Which again affirmed the faith Abeadzeman’s revered King of our time, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII have in Ghana not to have postpone the celebration (which started on the August 24th-to-1st September 2013 with Grand durbar to climax the celebration on the 31st August 2013) as some people were alleged to be buying air-ticket and travelling abroad during that trying time frame of supreme court adjudication and most worthy of mentioning again as history has indelibly documented is your great-grandfather, Abeadzeman’s first revered King, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi I who enviably bears signatory to the famous 1844 bond which serves as a famous document that has set the time table for the nation’s independence from the British rule, in short you have exhibited that great exemplary life again. In addition to the latter, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII in emulating the Great Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi I in this year 2013 signed an MOU on behalf of the entire citizens & Chiefs of Central Region with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore(UMES), USA, to research in Agricultural prospects in Central Region that could in a large extent will promote the region economically. Which he eloquently briefed H.E John Dramani Mahama on at the Ahobaa Kese grand durbar ceremony. Respectfully, I will not end my piece without pointing out to the fact that everyone present at the festival can vividly feel and see the unity & love you have instilled in your entire subjects and the Chiefs under you. I was not surprised at all by the offer given you by Ideal College (i.e to take care of five needy but brilliant subjects of your’s to enter second cycle education till they finish their Senior high school education) and other well-wishers in support of the “Kwebu Ewusi Foundation” whose primary aim is supporting brilliant but needy childrens at great Abeadzeman to have full access to second cycle education. Remarkably, it is of no doubt that you’re a great leader who lives an exemplary life for us your subjects to emulate. That is why I came thrice from Accra to the festival with no pains at all per your invitation and I can boldly say a lot of people came farther than mine distance to the occasion and even some people from the diaspora were at the ceremony because some people contributed towards the “Kwebu Ewusi Foundation” in dollars.
Afehyea pa! Y333 Paapa!!!! for marking the 17th Anniversary of your enstoolment as Omanhen/Paramount Chief of Abeadze tradional area which is made of 23 beautiful communities .
GO BLESS YOU! OUR FATHER!!!
LONG LIVE HONOURABLE DAASEBRE KWEBU EWUSI VII
