Mr Justice Gbiel Simon Suuribareh, an out-going Appeal Court Judge in Cape Coast, has commended members of the Dagaaba community in the Cape Coast Metropolis, for being law-abiding and responsible citizens.

He said since his almost one-year stay in the area, no Dagao appeared before him for trial, or visited his office or house to ask for legal assistance, and urged them to continue to be law-abiding and committed to their duties.

Justice Suuribareh made the commendation during a thanks-giving Mass and send-off party, organized for him by the Dagaaba Community within the Metropolis.

He was also happy with the unity and cordial relationship that existed among Dagaabas in the Metropolis, and urged their leadership to extend the unity to Dagaabas in the other districts in the region, and endeavour to co-exist peacefully with other tribes.

Justice Suuribareh underscored the importance of education, and urged them to take advantage of the numerous educational institutions in the Central Region to educate their children, stressing that education was the only legacy they could leave for their children.

He also urged them to teach their children the good cultural practices, customs and traditions, as well as inculcate in them discipline and the fear of God.

Justice Suuribareh was thankful to God for how far He had taken him, and that his promotion to the high position as a Justice of the Supreme Court would challenge him to work harder.

Justice Suuribareh a Dagao, who hails from the Upper West Region , was transferred to Cape Coast as a Justice of the Appeal Court , sitting as an additional High Court Judge, barely a year ago, but was recently promoted to the Supreme Court.
