Damongo roads receiving major facelift under Akufo-Addo - Samuel Jinapor

Work has commenced on the Damongo township roads in the West Gonja District of the Savannah Region in order to give them a major facelift.

Deputy Chief of Staff Samuel Abu Jinapor who revealed this said, Ten (10) kilometers of Damongo town roads are, earnestly, undergoing construction while Fifteen(15) kilometers of asphalt overlay of critical roads in Damongo township are to commence in the not so distant future.

Abu Jinapor who is also the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Damongo Constituency accompanied the Roads and Highways Minister Hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta, MP for Atiwa West to inspect some of the ongoing projects in the area at the weekend.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the tour, he said “ I joined the hardworking Minister for Roads, Hon. Kwesi Amoako Atta, MP for Atiwa West, to inspect ongoing road projects in Damongo. Ten (10) kilometers of Damongo town roads are, earnestly, undergoing construction. Fifteen(15) kilometers of asphalt overlay of critical roads in Damongo township are to commence in the not so distant future.

Several feeder roads are set to be upgraded and improved. President Akufo-Addo, through his competent Minister for Roads, is, indeed, embarking on a truly unprecedented and verifiable road program across the country and, happily, Savannah Region is a major beneficiary of this effort. Damongo has and will continue to receive it’s fair share of government’s infrastructural development. Undoubtedly, 2020 is the Year of Roads”
