Techiman, (B/A) Oct. 18, GNA - Mr. David D. Yaro, Techiman Municipal Coordinating Director, has advised Heads of Departments not to engage themselves in political polemics at public places. Head of Departments should also desist from putting on party paraphernalia at rallies mounted by the parties to which they belong, he stressed.

Mr. Yaro gave the advice while addressing a meeting of heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies at Techiman on Wednesday. He said, as public and civil servants, the heads of departments must be mindful that they were not expected to play active part in partisan politics.

He urged them to be abreast with government and state policies so as to enable them to explain such policies to their subordinates and the general public.

Mr. Yaro implored the heads to be conversant with every bit of information about the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and to propagate the policy to members to register with the scheme.

Mr. Pierre Kwabena Ankomah, Techiman Municipal Director of the National Commission for civic Education (NCCE), said the Commission would soon organized a forum with the security agencies, traditional rulers, religious organizations, leaders of political parties and supporters especially the youth to remind them of the needed for peace, before, during and after the election.
