The Paramount Queenmother of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Odeneho Akosua Fema Dwabeng Ababio II, has cautioned residents to be extra vigilant and mindful of their Christmas celebrations.

She said it was important for them to ensure a responsible celebration, urging that they prioritise their health, well-being, and uphold the values of the festive season.

Odeneho Dwabeng Ababio gave the advice at a thanksgiving service to mark her 25th anniversary as a Queenmother of the Traditional area.

She emphasised the need for celebrants to ensure moderation and caution during the festive season for a trouble-free Christmas this year.

The Queenmother advised residents to be careful with their spending, particularly on food and drinks, highlighting the health risks associated with excessive sugar consumption, leading to diabetes among other illnesses.

She also warned the youth about the dangers of harmful drugs like tramadol and ‘RED’, stressing that they may risk destroying their future.

The Queenmother also advised parents and guardians to ensure the proper moral upbringing for their children, particularly young girls who bring home expensive gifts and items without any explanation.

Odeneho Dwabeng Ababio, encouraged the residents to show good character in their social lives, dress modestly, and maintain good physical appearance.

The local council of churches pray at the programme for God’s wisdom and protection for the Queenmother, as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of her enstoolment.
