Accra Jan 21, GNA- A 37-year-old driver was on Wednesday sentenced to 25 years imprisonment with hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court for defiling his two daughters aged 14 and 12 years. Colman Stanley, was found guilty on two counts of defilement and incest.
The court, presided over by Mr Kwadwo Owusu handed down 10-year jail term on Stanley for defilement and 15 years for incest after consolidation of the two dockets.
The sentences are to run consecutively.
Prosecuting Police Inspector Emmanuel Boison told the court that the first victim was living with Stanley's mother at Adenta a suburb of Accra.
He said sometime last year, Stanley visited his mother and the first victim and decided to pass the night with them. Prosecution said during the night, Stanley sneaked into the room of the first victim had sex with her and warned her not tell anyone about her ordeal.
Police Inspector Boison said seven months after Stanleys' act he extended his elicit acts on his second daughter but his second daughter who could not keep the ordeal to herself reported the matter to her (victim's) mother.
He said the first victim also disclosed her ordeal to her mother and Stanley was arrested.
The prosecution said both victims were issued with forms for medical reports for examination and Stanley, during investigations, denied the offence.
