Snippets of information reaching Brytfmonline.com indicates that some concerned drivers of Kwahu Nketepa, Amartey and Adowso in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region are set to demonstrate against police personnel in the district today, Friday June 17, 2016.

In a telephone interview with the Assembly Member of the area, Hon. Thomas Abekwi, he signposted that, Kwahu South police personnel are reluctant in giving a helping hand to them whenever they are being attacked on the Tafo, Nketepa, Adowso and environs.

According to him, this first half of the year has recorded its fourth burglars attack on passengers plying the aforementioned road especially, Akyi Amanfrom to which the police are aware of but done nothing to solve the issue.

“Kwahu South police always give excuses saying the roads are bad to scrap robbers hidden around and arrest them whenever they attack travelers, which I think shouldn’t be the main reason because it’s their work to protect lives and properties,” He angrily indicated.

"The most annoying side of Kwahu South police is that, instead of them being in their police cars to fight robbers, they rather sit on motorbikes which is ridiculous," the Assemblyman lamented.

Some of the drivers plying that road also specified that due to the situation they are facing they can’t even pick up passengers to their various destinations because they are afraid to be rob on the road and if the assembly turns their back without solving the problem then there is no way to stop them from organizing the demonstration against the police Friday.
