Dutch Volunteer donates to Offinso Training Centre

Offinso (Ash) Nov. 29 GNA-A Dutch Volunteer, Miss Petra Septer, has donated a number of items valued at over 12 million cedis to the Offinso Training Centre for the Physically Disabled.

The items include 15 double-decker wooden beds; 30 mattresses; 100 plastic bowls, clothing and shoes.

Miss Septer said it was noble for society to support the physically challenged to acquire employable skills to lead economically independent lives.

"It is therefore only proper that we accept to do our bit to support the project", she added.

She promised to help raise funds in her country to repair toilet facilities at the Centre.

Mr Barima Antwi, Field Director of the Training Centre, thanked Miss Septer for the donation and expressed the hope that, other public-spirited individuals and organizations would emulate the kind gesture.
