ECOBANK fetes children at Ridge hospital

Accra, Dec. 26, GNA 96 ECOBANK Ghana Limited ECOBANK has held a Christmas party for children on admission at the Ridge Hospital in Accra. It was also attended by children from the Tema and Osu Children's Homes. Mr Rami Baitie, Corporate Affairs and Marketing Manager of ECOBANK, said the Bank had been sponsoring the Ridge Hospital Children's Ward over the last 10 years to the tune of about one billion cedis annually. He said the Bank in the year under review supported the Ward with almost two billion cedis and was ready to sustain the support if allowed to do so.

Mr Baitie said children were the future of the nation and "they must be supported and nursed adequately to become what they have set their minds on becoming in the future". He said the Bank, which is currently represented in 17 African countries, would spread to 21 countries by the end of 2007.
