Sunyani, April 14, GNA - The Very Reverend Samuel Adu-Boateng, Superintendent Minister of the Methodist Church on Friday urged Christians to make the significance of the death of Christ on the Cross relevant in their daily lives.
Preaching at Wesley Cathedral on Good Friday, he urged members of the congregation to reflect on their lives to honour Christ's ultimate sacrifice for mankind.
He noted that Jesus Christ's death would remain a historical ritual if Christians did not change from their sinful ways and let the gospel reflect in their lives, wherever they would be.
Apostle Stephen Kwame Amoani, Brong Ahafo Regional Territory Apostle of Christ Apostolic Church International, urged Christians not to consider the death of Jesus Christ as a mere festivity but to observe it and study the spiritual implications associated with it. Preaching on the theme: "Christian patriotism, key to growth and development," to climax a four-day Easter convention of the Church in Sunyani, he said the death of Christ released humanity from the bondage of poverty, sickness and evil deeds.
Apostle Amoani explained that the death of Christ served as reconciliation between God and humanity, and urged Christians to eschew hatred and help each other.
