Juaben (Ash), Sept 08, GNA - Mr Yaw Ahenkora Afrifa, the Ejisu-Juaben District Chief Executive, has said henceforth 80 per cent of the assembly's scholarships to junior and senior secondary school students would go to science students.

This, he said, would encourage the study of science, technology and mathematics in the district.

Mr Afrifa was speaking at the opening of a weeklong Ejisu-Juaben District's Science, Technology and Mathematics Education (STME) clinic at Juaben.

One hundred participants are attending the clinic, organised by the District Directorate of Education in collaboration with the district assembly.

The DCE appealed to parents to let the education of their children be their priority especially girls.
