Ejisu-Juaben Assembly ends deadlock over PM

Ejisu (Ash), May 18, GNA - The Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Assembly has finally elected its Presiding Member (PM) ending the more than two months stalemate. Mr Owusu Sekyere, immediate past PM, was re-elected after he polled 65 out of 68 votes cast. This came after his other challengers had withdrawn from the contest. Mr Sekyere, who is the elected assembly member for Apromoase, called for mutual understanding, respect and unity of purpose among members to help to speed up the socio-economic development of the Municipality. He was later sworn-in by the District Magistrate, Mr Jacob Amponsah.
