Born in 1916, the renowned Queen lived an extraordinary life spanning over a century until her passing on June 24, 2024.
The final funeral rites of Nana Akosua Akyamaa were held at the forecourt of Ejura Palace on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
The ceremony attracted thousands of traditional authorities, top political figures, security officials, residents, and sympathizers to Ejura.
A host of cultural displays and a memorial service were organized in honor of the late Queen.
Ejurahene Barimah Osei Hwedie II, who is also the maternal grandson of the deceased, paid a heartfelt tribute to his grandmother.
He acknowledged that her passing was not only a personal loss but also a significant blow to the traditional architecture of Ejura.
The Ejurahene praised Nana Akosua Akyamaa for her kindness, patriotism, and exceptional leadership style, which shaped dozens of individuals into prominent figures in Ghana.
