The Kwaebibirim municipal health director has appealed to the Government to upgrade the Asuom health centre into a Hospital, with mortuary services.

This according to him, is affecting quality health service delivery for the growing population in the area.

He stated that to be able to upgrade the Asuom Health Center to a hospital, the health center must have special facilities including male, female, children and maternity wards as well as an operating theater.

He said, the lack of these facilities is rendered health delivery in the municipality a unbearable.

The health director was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a ceremony organized for the kawebibirem Rural Bank to donate a Toyota Hilux Pickup to the Asuom Health Center.

Receiving the donation, the health director stated that the donation of the car is timely, adding that it will go a long way to support errands and assist in carting drugs and other consumables to the stores of the health center.

He thanked the management of the bank for the gesture.

The Managing Director of the Kwaebibirem Rurual bank, Micheal Agyeibi Agyekum said the gesture forms part of the bank's cooperate social responsibility.

He stated that besides the donation of the vehicle, the bank has been supplying 10 gallons of fuel each month to the Kwaebibirem Municipal Police Command to help fight crime in the Municipality.

He also mentioned construction of a two-unit KG block for the Asuom Presby School.

Mr. Agyekum assured all customers of the bank that the management of the bank is in competent hands and will not fall prey to the current banking crisis.

He used the opportunity to plead with Ghanaians to buy more shares at the bank since they are assured of high dividends.
