Kumasi, April 24, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Voltarian Coordinating Council (VCC) has urged Ghanaians to shun discrimination in all its forms to help foster justice and peace in the country. Discrimination in whatever form, it said, breeds contempt and violence which could eventually erode the socio-economic gains made particularly under the Fourth Republican Constitution. This was contained in an Easter Message signed by Togbe Mawufeame Fugah, Patron of the Council, and issued in Kumasi. The message reminded the citizenry of the tremendous role Ghana was playing to spearhead and also deepen democracy in the sub-Saharan Africa which was a wake-up call for all to give-off their best in their endeavours.

They should respect the fundamental human rights of everybody in their doings while praying fervently for the leaders to be empowered by God to help promote the general well-being of the masses. The VCC paid glowing tribute to Jesus Christ for laying down his life for the cause of mankind and underscored the need for all to emulate that selfless attitude in the interest of the nation.
