Kumasi, Sept 3, GNA-The Ashanti Regional Ewe Community and the Kumasi Ewe Chieftaincy Council, have performed the burial rites of eight members of the same family who lost their lives in a tragedic manner two months ago.
On July 1, 2005, eight members of the same family allegedly died through poisoning from "konkonte" flour at Tebeso Number Two in the Amansie-East District.

He used the occasion to commend the Ashanti Regional Police Commander and the Regional Minister as well as the entire Ashanti community for not merely mourning with them, but being also very supportive during those trying times.
Mr. Doe Tamakloe, an Elder of the Ewe Community in Kumasi said even though they firmly suspect that the poisoning to death was planned , they are not ready to avenge their deaths, since vengeance rests with God.
