Excellent Generation Club, a civil society group in Dodowa, has organized a Constituency Governance Forum at Shai-Osu Doku.
The forum dubbed: “Parliamentary Awareness Project” (PAP) is targeted at supporting the creation of sustainable communication platforms which are to link Members of Parliament (MP’s) to their constituencies and the public as a means to galvanize and deepen democratic participation particularly on the legislative level.
The event which is on the theme: "The People meet Parliament and the Local Government is the first in the Greater Accra Region organized by the Excellent Generation Club."
It is organized with partnership support from Three Heads and a Pen Productions (3HP), SpeakAfrica Foundation, Citizens’ Network for Democracy and Economic Development (CINDED), www.wethepeoplegh.com, and STAR –Ghana.

He said it created awareness on the need for the public to be involved in strengthening democracy particularly at the legislative level.
Mr Gyimah said the programme would educate the people about the duties and responsibilities of the governance stakeholders such as MPs, DCEs and mssembly members as well as provide them with the opportunity to channel their concerns directly to these stakeholders.
