Kranka (B/A), Aug. 14, GNA- Cashew farmers at Kranka in Nkoranza District of Brong Ahafo have commended the Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) for assisting them to enhance their living standards.
Mr George Kwabena Amisare, a spokesman of the farmers, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Kranka that about 120 farmers had, under the Agency's incentive package scheme, cultivated more than 400 hectares of cashew.
"The farmers are provided with food aid such as wheat brand and cooking oil in addition to agricultural inputs like fertilizer, cutlasses and Wellington boots", he said.
Mr. Amisare said the Agency was also supporting some farmers at Kranka to construct toilets in their homes.
