Oyoko (Ash), Oct. 20, GNA - The Christian Medical Fellowship at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), donated items to children at the Westphalian Village at Oyoko in the Sekyere East district of Ashanti.

The items, estimated at 4.5 million cedis, include two bags of rice, a maxi bag each of maize and gari, a bag of sugar, key soap, four gallons of edible oil, oranges and used clothing.

Mr Emmanuel Asenso-Mensah, President of the Fellowship, at the weekend said the donation formed part of a programme to support deprived persons.

He said: "As a Christian fellowship, we are expected by our faith to show charity to the under-privileged and disadvantaged and share with them the kind of love and joy that we have in Christ".

Mr Benjamin Dickson Konadu, Supervisor of the Village, commended the group for the assistance and appealed to individuals, organisations and government to come to the aid of the Orphanage.
