Fetish Priest Challenges “Sakawa” Spritualists

Classic fm Techiman A renowned spiritualist in Subinso No.2 a suburb of Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Abosomakotre has called on National Security to arrest spiritualists who have been supporting the activities of fraudsters by way of condoning ‘Sakawa’. He said without the assistance of fake spiritualists the youth would not have engaged in such horrific activities which have the tendency not only to prevent investors into the country but also jeopardize the future of the youth. He was speaking to press men at Subinso in reaction to rumours doing the rounds that fetish priests are the ones who promote ‘sakawa’ in the country

Nana Abosomakotre further asked Ghanaians not to worry about the menace since he is putting measures in place to curtail their powers. He announced that his gods are very angry with the fraudsters and the criminals who want to bring the work of spiritualists and spiritual powers into disrepute. To this end, he said he will consult other fetish priest in the country to marshal forces together to subdue the fraudsters.

Nana Abosomakotre condemned the youth who are bent on getting rich quick by any means like ‘Sakawa’ Nana Abosomakotre confessed that his gods can conjure money but in his case such money need to be blessed and cleansed before one could use them. He said in some cases some people come to his shrine with quantity of gold for him to cleanse before they could change them into cash. This, he said is not ‘sakawa’ but a genuine business.

The fetish priest told the press that if the ‘sakawa’ menace is not checked, people will not give respect to fetish priests who use their spiritual powers to help people in a genuine way. He said they, the fetish priests also belief in God and worship him with reverence but the different between Christians and fetish priests is that whereas the Christians use Christ as their medium to communicate with God, they the fetish priest communicate top God through their deities.

Nana Abosomakotre charged his fellow spiritualists to expose the fraudsters who consult them for spiritual support. He also urged the youth to engage in profitable ventures to reduce the spread of the Sakawa movement.
