About 17 auto mechanic shops opposite the State Boys Junior High School near Bantama in Kumasi have been burnt in a dawn fire outbreak.
Four vehicles were also consumed by the fire.
Reports say the fire started at about 1am Tuesday. It is unclear the cause of the fire.
Eyewitnesses say the fire service arrived in time and are still battling to put off the inferno.
According to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako Justice, who has visited the scene, several items running into millions of Ghana Cedis have been destroyed by the flame.
