Nana Frimpong and the damaged vehicle that has left him critical

Nana Yaw Baffour Frimpong, a former parliamentary aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Offinso North, is in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital following a near-fatal road accident on the Kumasi-Bechem Highway.
The incident occurred while Nana Frimpong was driving on the Bechem-Kumasi stretch after attending an event in Japeikrom.
Sources indicate he was forced to swerve sharply to avoid a head-on collision with a speeding oncoming truck that reportedly veered into his lane.
His vehicle, a saloon car now extensively damaged, then crashed into a roadside object and plunged into a bush.
Frimpong sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital's emergency unit, where he is currently receiving treatment.
It is suspected that the truck driver may have been attempting to avoid potholes, a common issue due to the poor state of that section of the road.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, and the swift intervention of the ambulance service is credited with preventing a potentially more tragic outcome.
