A former Ambassador to Libya in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has commended Ghanaian workers for their sacrifice, dedication and commitment to duty, despite the poor conditions of service especially in the formal sector.

In a statement to mark the workers day celebration, and copied to Ghana News Agency, he asked Ghanaians to support and bring the NPP back to power in 2016, “to rescue us from the current hardship and bad management of the economy”.

Mr George Kumi who has filed his nomination to contest the NPP Sunyani East parliamentary primaries said greater works await the NPP, as it seeks to ensure that Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, the party’s presidential candidate is enthroned as President in 2017.

“As we celebrate this day, I wish to congratulate you all for your hard work, sacrifice and dedication to the work of Ghana our motherland most especially to the development of the Sunyani East constituency”, the former Ambassador who was also a High Commissioner to Nigeria stated.
