Former first lady donates bibles to the Tamale girls school

Her Excellency the former First Lady Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills. As part of her Bible distribution project in Ghana, yesterday came to the turn of the Tamale Girls Senior high School. The project seeks to imbibe in the Ghanaian youths the spiritual and moral aptitude needed to push the country forward, given the seemingly moral decadence among the Ghanaian youth of Today.

Presenting a copy of her specially designed Bibles symbolically to the Headmistress of the school, given that the vehicle carrying the Bibles could not arrive in time, because it has involved in an accident; in her exposition she was quick to lament that, failure is not a tragedy and that she would not relent in her quest to continue donating Bibles to schools.


Dr. Naadu Mills, urged the students to take up Bible learning seriously to become useful citizens in Ghana, since there are other social tendencies that tend to hinder on the development of students particularly, the girl child. She also urged them to work hard in their academic endeavours and be discipline to become good ambassadors for their respective communities. Dr. Naadu Mills commended the school authorities for the warm reception accorded her during the visit. The Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Honourable Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, stressed that the occasion is an important one, considering the moral breakdown which has gript into the fibre of Ghanaian society and the increasingly booing up to foreign cultures. Alhaji. A.B.A. Fuseini, admonished the students to take time to devour the Bibles, in order to inculcate in them the Biblical lessons that society needs to confront challenges ahead as a Country. Hon. Fuseini used the rare opportunity to commend the former first lady Dr. Naadu Mills, for her generous efforts in her Bible distribution project. On her part the Headmistress of Tamale Girls Senior High School, Hajia Mariatu Muhammed used the occasion to appeal to the government to consider providing access road linking the school.


Hajia Mariatu commended Dr. Naadu Mills, for her unwavering support in trying to shape the budding Girls to be religious, thereby preparing them to be good managers in the Country when they are out from school.

The scripture Union of Ghana Coordinator in Tamale, Mr. Edem Ndo, stressed that his outfit is excited about the project since it has the potential to transform the lives of the students in the godly manner adding that scripture Union of Ghana is ready to partner with Dr. Naadu Mills in order to reach out to the Ghanaian populace.


Meanwhile, Dr. Naadu Mills, also presented an amount of GHC 10,000 to the school.
