Adeiso in the West Akyem District of the Eastern Region is to benefit from a number of development projects at a cost of over 4 billion cedis.
These include pipe-borne water system, a block of nine classrooms, two modern places of convenience, a clinic, a community centre and rehabilitation of streetlights.
Mr Ansah Adjei, Assemblyman for the town, made these known at a public forum where members of the Adeiso Town Council, Unit Committees, Religious bodies, Traditional rulers and a cross-section of the people attended.
The forum discussed strategies to uplift the town including the adoption of a three-year development programme that would conform with the government's Medium-Term Development Programme.
Mr Adjei said the water supply system would cost about 2.3 billion cedis and is expected to begin in March.
The German government is funding part of the project with the District Assembly and the community contributing five percent each of the cost.
He said the community had generated 50 million cedis and every effort was being made to collect the total contribution of the community.
Mr Adjei said the district assembly was committing 450 million cedis under the HIPC fund to build a block of six classrooms, office and store for the Adeiso Seventh-Day Adventist Primary School.
He said Ghana Cement Works (GHACEM) had provided 300 bags of cement for the building of the SDA JSS and thanked the Company for the gesture.
