There are reports of fuel shortage in some parts of Kumasi. This unpleasant development is creating discomfort for drivers of commercial and private vehicles.
The cause of the shortage of the essential commodity was not immediately known.
But most drivers got extremely disappointed when they were flatly turned away by fuel attendants.
During the paper’s visit to the Total Filing Station at Bekwai Roundabout, drivers were seen buying petrol in gallons.
Prior to that, the paper had spotted several dejected drivers at the Unity Oil Filling Station near Santase roundabout.
Fuel attendants at the station told the disappointed drivers that they had ran out of fuel.
Owusu Kwakye, a taxi driver, said when he realized that the petrol in his vehicle had declined, he decided to refill it at any nearby filling station.
The cabbie said he was searching for a taxi to go home when his friend informed him that the Total Fuel Station had received supply.
DAILY GUIDE gathered that fuel supply in the city had been erratic since the start of the week, impeding the movement of people.
The exact cause of the mishap is not known but the shortage of the commodity has negatively affected residents, notably drivers.
