GRA and Wisewater donate white boards

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Wisewater Foundation, a non-governmental organization, on Tuesday donated 15 white boards and markers to the Kanda Cluster of Schools in Accra.

The donation was sponsored by the GRA at the cost of GH¢4,500.00.

Mr Emmanuel Amarquaye, the Executive Chairman of Wisewater Foundation, said the donation was part of a project to replace black boards in various schools.

He said students were constrained when it came to logistics to help in the delivery of quality education and pledged to work to ensure that schools have access to well-equipped classrooms to promote faster learning.

He urged the pupils to take their studies seriously to become responsible citizens in the future.

Deputy Commissioner in charge of Communications and Public Affairs at the GRA, Kwesi Oppong-Damoah, said management believed in contributing to the transformation of the lives of people, hence its partnership with Wisewater to provide the white boards.

He said school children represented the future of the country, and it was a privilege to invest in them so that they could fulfil their dreams.

He advised Ghanaians to pay their taxes to enable government to provide the necessary development.

Mrs Mary Adoley Dodoo, Deputy Director of Education, commended Wisewater Foundation and GRA for the support.
