The severed head of Korkor Mormorbi Wormenor, a woman who was murdered and decapitated yesterday has been found in a palm wine keg this morning.

Residents confirmed to the West Afrikan Source’s Clifford Yaw Frimpong, that a palm wine tapper discovered the head of the deceased early this morning when he visited his local distillery.

Korkor Wormenor, 62, was allegedly murdered, decapitated and the body dumped in a bush by her 32-year-old boyfriend at Bedeku–Kpornya, in the Dangbe East district of the greater Accra region.

The suspect, Kisseih Adowah, is believed to have committed the gruesome act between the night of Sunday, January 8 and the morning of Monday, January 9.

Residents confirmed to the reporter that the suspect is not mentally stable and is reported to have a history of inflicting grievous wounds on himself as well as people around him, most recent being an attempt to scythe his own mouth with a knife.

Kisseih Adowah is also reported to have once attempted slashing his own throat but was stopped in the act after he had unemotionally made a deep cut into his neck.

The beheaded body of Kokor Wormenor, which was buried under palm fronds in a thick bush, was retrieved from by the Kasseh Police yesterday and sent to the Ada district hospital for autopsy.

The found head has also been picked up this morning by the police and sent to the medical facility.


The suspect, who has remained reticent since his arrest, is currently in police custody being prepared for court.
