GHANA REGISTERED NURSES AND MIDWIVES’ ASSOCIATION (GRNMA) supports a critically ill member
The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association has offered a helping hand to one of its members diagnosed of an end-stage kidney failure.
At a short ceremony in Tamale on Friday, February 24 at Nim Avenue Hotel where the national executives of the association climaxed its working regional tour, the General Secretary of GRNMA, Mrs. Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo handed over a cheque of GH?5000.00 to the beneficiary Mr. Yidana Sulley a Senior Enrolled Nurse at the Walewale District Hospital and a student of NMTC, Nalerigu in the company of his aunty and the district chairman of GRNM- West Mamprusi.
On his part, Mr. Yidana Sulley expressed gratitude to the association for support and called for further assistance to enable him undergo a planned kidney transplant.
The General Secretary of GRNMA emphasized the association’s readiness to champion the wellbeing of its members at all levels. She added that, the association will liaise with employers and stakeholders to ensure nurses and midwives in the country are well catered for at their respective facilities.
The national executives of GRNMA embarked on a working tour in the Northern Region where they visited some selected districts and facilities and as well interacted with members in the region. The tour was climaxed with a sensitization workshop at Nim Avenue Hotel, Tamale organized for all regional executives in the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Region on 24th February, 2017.
