Residents of the Gbentanaa zonal council within the Adenta Municipal Assembly have expressed concern about some issues affecting the development of the community.

The meeting, organized by Intervention Forum, a Non-Governmental Organization, in conjunction with SNV and the Adenta Municipal Assembly, was to solicit the views of the residents on a wide range of issues that needed priority attention.

The discussions ranged from security, food safety, public toilets, lorry parks, and waste management.

Others concerned lack of roads, bridges and culverts, drainage, basic education, water and sanitation, open spaces for public functions, and health facilities, among others.

Mr Frederick Oduro, an official from the Institute of Local Government Studies, said there was the need for communities to voice out their concerns so that it would be addressed by the authorities.

He urged the residents to liaise with the relevant authorities for solutions to their problems.

Madam Nora Ollennu, Chief Executive Officer of Intervention Forum, expressed the hope that such interactions would be held regularly to ensure the development of the area.
