Gbewaa Youth assures President of rousing welcome

Tamale, April 21, GNA - The Gbewaa Youth Group, a group within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured the President, John Evans Atta Mills and his entourage of a massive and resounding welcome to Tamale, during his intended tour of the Northern Region. They are also calling on all lovers of the party to bury their differences and come out in their numbers to welcome the President, saying that, they see the visit as an opportunity to interact with the President on how best to solve their problems.

"We urge the President to patch the differences within the party to move it forward, in order to achieve the better Ghana Agenda. We are also urging the elders of the party to intervene in the forth coming presidential primaries of the party.

Chief Zachi Sibri, Leader of the group, who read the statement at a press conference in Tamale, on Thursday, on the impending visit of the President, said

the rank and file of the party should let peace and unity prevail in the party, and create a platform to resolve all disputes. "We affirm our total support and loyalty to the party and to help it win the 2012 general elections. We will do so if the President would give us the justice we the Andani family are yearning for in the murder of our overload", they stressed.

The statement said, 93We voted for the party because of the justice promised us and that we will not allow anybody to deny us that justice".

He said their opponents should not think that what was currently happening in their party will destroy it, and that, it will rather strengthen the party.

"NDC sympathizers in the region and beyond will never make any mistake for the NPP to come back to power".

The group said they are assuring the entire nation of their unflinching support to recapture all the parliamentary seats they lost to the NPP.
