The Ghana Chinese Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) has renovated the Kindergarten and Primary School at Ntunkum, a farming community in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The Chamber replaced the louver blades of the windows and painted the entire school building.
Mr Stephen Shum, the Vice President of the Chamber, said the project formed part of its 20th Anniversary Celebrations.
He said the renovation would help to promote a conducive environment for learning and advised the pupils to take their studies seriously.
He gave the assurance that the Chamber would continue to support the community as well as the pupils as their bid towards the development of the country.
Mr Ernest Kumi, Headmaster of the School, commended the GCCC for the gesture.
He, however, appealed for the provision of computers to the school to enhance teaching and learning of ICT.
Nana Kwarte Ntunkum II, the Chief of the area, said as a farming community, it had many farm produce, which could be exported and called on investors to partner with them.
