Sumbrungu (UE) May 28, GNA - Mr Mark Woyongo, Upper East Regional Minister, has said Government was working hard to execute its "Better Ghana Agenda" to the benefit of Ghanaians.

He cited that the provision of 1,000 boreholes at various communities in the Region was in fulfilment of the agenda. Mr Woyongo said these when he swore in 11-member executive of the Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) of the Bolgatanga Polytechnic, on Friday. He advised social commentators in the Region to desist from using foul language against their politician opponents, and asked the people to unite against poverty.

Mr Woyongo said Government was committed to the Savanna Accelerated Authority, saying donor organisations were coming to the Upper West, Upper East and Northern Regions to support the programme. He commended TEIN for contributing to the success of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and appealed to the new executive to help the party to retain power in Election 2012. Mr Martin Ayeo, President of TEIN, appealed to Government to create favourable environment for the youth to harness their potentials and said TEIN would pursue an active communication strategy to move the NDC forward.
