Girl found dead in a stream at Asuboi

A two-year-old girl was found dead in a stream at Asuboi in the Ayensuano district of Eastern Region on Monday, 5 February.

The body of the child was found face-down with two bowls of mashed yam with eggs at the bank of the stream.

Residents say they suspect it is a ritual killing.

Asuboi Assemblyman, Kwaku Afari, said the Suhum police command has taken the body to the Suhum Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy while investigations continue into the matter.
