Global Media Alliance (GMA) has joined Ghanaians and the rest of the world in mourning the passing of President John Atta Mills, which sad event occurred on Tuesday 1415 hours at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
A statement copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday said, the tragic news was confirmed in a statement issued on the same day by the late president’s chief of staff, Mr. John Henry Martey Newman.
Expressing his sadness about the tragic event, Mr. Edward Boateng, Executive Chairman of Global Media Alliance stated, “The nation, and indeed the entire continent, has lost a great leader, visionary, and achiever.
“It is my prayer that the late president’s passing will bring us together and provide peace and unity among Ghanaians at home and abroad.”
President Mills is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, and son, Sam Kofi Atta Mills.
