Gomoa Mampong (C/R), Dec 31, GNA - The Gomoa District Chief Executive, Miss Joyce Aidoo, has urged rural communities to initiate projects to attract support from district assemblies and the government. She said the days when communities looked up to the government for all their needs were gone and said those who would wait for will found themselves lagging behind.

She was addressing a durbar to mark the annual Akwambo festival of the Chiefs and people of Gomoa Mampong, at the weekend. Miss Aidoo commended Mr Fred Oscar Abban, Assemblyman for the area for his dynamism and appealed to other members of the District Assembly to work hard to ensure positive change in the living conditions of the people.
