He expressed regret that the United Nation High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) had not paid any compensation on lands used for the Gomoa Buduburam Refugee Camp.

Mr Ekow Okyir Panyin, Member of Parliament for the area, called on the people to give positive publicity that could lead to the development of the area.

He called for the creation of another district from Gomoa East since the area is too large for one district.

Nana Obokomata VII, Chief of Gomoa Dasum, said his area was noted for cassava production and had therefore released land to the District Assembly for the construction of a weekly market to help sell their farm produce.
