Goodlife Foundation, Focus Fm Rock King Jesus Orphanage

The kids at the King Jesus Children’s Home, Boadi in Kumasi had the day of their lives as Goodlife Foundation Ghana and Focus FM joined hands to organize a massive party for them at the orphanage.

The party which was transmitted live on Focus 94.3MHz was partnered by Latex Foam, MTN (Ash cell), Indomie, ITECH plus, Continental and Indece Supermarkets as well as some individuals.

Items worth over GHC 1,500.00 including mattresses and pillows, clothing, foodstuffs, drinks and toiletries were donated at the programme.

Highlights of the programme included a Hepatitis B screening for the almost two hundred kids at the Orphanage, Azonto competition, pick and act, poetry, solo musical performances and rap by children of the orphanage.

Guest artistes like Ratty, YB and PTP were also there to thrill the kids.

Kwame Poku (DJ Scientific), one of the three founders of the Goodlife Foundation Ghana, in his opening remarks stated that he founded the group with two other friends; Bernard Buachi and Jamal Hammond as their way of impacting society. He said the group concentrates its activities mainly around less fortunate children in society.

“This is just our maiden programme and we want to say that this is the beginning of greater things to come”, he said, and called on corporate Ghana to partner Goodlife Foundation in subsequent events.

Presenting the donations, Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, the General Manager for Focus FM urged the kids to remain focused on their academic and spiritual development and eschew any form of vice. He extended his gratitude to the caretakers of the orphanage for the love they continue to show the children.

He promised Focus FM’s support for talented Musicians at the orphanage.
