“Recent misinformation about the Mpohor, Adum Banso, Benso road continues to pose a major challenge to development, collective credibility, and the improvement of our local economy,” John Abbam Sanie, MP for Mpohor-Fiase Constituency, has stated.

Reacting to the surge of false news circulating on social media about the Mpohor-Fiase constituency, John Abbam Sanie explained that the Government of Ghana is funding the construction of major roads in the area.

He said, “These projects are being financed by the Government of Ghana; therefore, it would be disingenuous for opposing political activists to suggest otherwise by attributing the funding to private companies operating in the enclave.”

John Abbam Sanie, who is also Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Energy, noted that the opposition’s persistent use of propaganda in his constituency is a departure from honesty as the country prepares for a pivotal election with high stakes.

The MP advised his constituents not to be misled by manipulated narratives on social media.

“Ongoing road construction in the Mpohor-Fiase constituency is solely financed by the Government of Ghana, not by Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) or any other company in the area,” he explained further, urging people to ignore political actors using deceptive tactics to win elections.

He added that as the elections draw closer, some individuals have intensified efforts to undermine the government’s developmental programs, creating a whirlwind of fear and deception.

Amidst these challenges, he stated that the NPP’s communication team is well-positioned to “uncover these layers of deceit for the benefit of our people and the peace we enjoy in this country.”

“We remain unperturbed by the opposition’s propaganda. We are focused on infrastructure development and youth empowerment, which will secure our victory on December 7,” the MP concluded.
