Government pledges 24-Hour Economy market for Nzema Aiyinasi community

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle Constituency in the Western region, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has disclosed that the President John Dramani Mahama-led government is committed to constructing a 24-hour economy market center at Nzema Aiyinasi in his constituency.

Nzema Aiyinasi is one of the commercial towns in Ellembelle district with a market center.

Nzema Aiyinasi has been described as the heart of Ellembelle district where a lot of people trade there.

Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah who is also the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, revealed this at Nzema Aiyinasi over the weekend where he presented two pick-up vehicles to Ellembelle district police command and Ellembelle district assembly and also items to some disabled people in his Constituency.

He emphasised that anytime NDC comes to power, the good people of Ellembelle Constituency benefit from the national cake.

"For the past 8 years, we were left out, they did not do our road network for us, they did not do our health centers for us, the NPP government neglected us, the road projects that we started when NDC was in power, they abandoned them, they did not continue with the town road projects.

"But we know that anytime NDC comes to power, Ellembelle sees massive development and this is our time, President John Mahama has come for us to rise again", he stated.

He added, "I'm very happy to announce that Aiyinasi will soon have a modern market center and this will boost the local economy of Nzema Aiyinasi and Ellembelle district as a whole".

He further took the opportunity to disclose that his NDC government would construct the Aiyinasi North bad road network to link up with the Wassa people in order for them to bring their food stuff to Aiyinasi to sell.

"That is not all, President John Dramani Mahama is going to link Aiyinasi to Asangrakwa so what you will see is that, instead of you to travel from Aiyinasi to Asangrakwa or Prestea before reaching Aiyinasi North, you will only pass through Aiyinasi to Aiyinasi direct. After the construction of this important road network, the Wassa people can use the Aiyinasi North road to come to Nzema Aiyinasi to trade", he said.



He was optimistic that when the market center is completed, it would be the biggest market center in the Western region.

He also revealed that government was committed to re-constructing Samenye barrier to Half Assini's bad road in Jomoro, Teleku-Bokazo to Simpa Junction's bad road and Asasetre to Aiyinasi's bad road in Ellembelle district.

He, therefore, seized the opportunity to distribute items to some disabled people and start up equipment to some artisans in his Constituency.

The Divisional Chief of Nzema Aiyinasi, Nana Etwe Kpanyinli VI, commended Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for transforming the Ellembelle Constituency.

"In fact, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah is doing very well for Ellembelle, since he became the MP, so many communities have been connected to the national electricity grid, just last week he went to Aiyinasi North to commission electricity projects and I was there and I will call on all of us to rally behind him", he said.

The chief disclosed that the land for the construction of the 24-hour economy market center has been already handed over to the Ellembelle district assembly.

He called on his people to support the project to see the light of day and warned anybody who would try to encroach the land.

The chief appealed to Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to urge the management of Ghana National Gas Company to resume work on the expansion of Aiyinasi health center to accommodate more patients.
