Govt will facilitate private business growth- Bintim

Tamale, Dec 29, GNA- Mr Charles Bintim, the Deputy Northern Regional Minister, on Monday said the government would continue to provide adequate security to the private sector to enable them to expand their businesses.

He said as part of its trade liberalization policy, the government is creating the enabling environment for investors to invest in the country.

Mr Bintim was speaking at the opening of Melcom, a private business concern, in Tamale. It is the third Melcom shop in the regional capital He appealed to the public to provide information about the activities of criminals, especially armed robbers, to the security agencies saying, "You know them best since they live in your communities."

Mr Mahesh Melwani, Managing Director of Melcom, said the Tamale branch, which started with only one shop four years ago, had since progressed steadily culminating in the opening of the third shop. He assured customers in the Northern Region that the company would supply them with goods at their doorstep without additional cost.
