Graduates asked to do more to help transform society

Graduates of the country’s universities have been urged to take responsibility to help bring the needed social transformation and progress.

The Reverend Robert Asante, a Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Kumasi, said they should provide leadership by mirroring all that is decent, dignified and admirable.

He made the call at the maiden “Leavers Service”, organised by the Chaplaincy Board of the Ghana Baptist University College, at Amakom in Kumasi, on the theme: “The 21st century graduate, making maximum impact.”

Rev. Asante asked the graduates to overcome selfishness and greed, refuse to be corrupted and to resist anything that is immoral.

He said humility, honesty, integrity, self-control and good work ethics must be their guiding principles.

They should also do everything to make a big difference, to become a good example to others, by accepting to give their all to make things happen, wherever they might find themselves.

He said the expectation was that they would work hard to carve a niche for themselves.

Rev Asante asked them to be God-fearing and to trust in His abundant grace and mercies.
