Ho, Jan. 4, GNA - Workers and traders in the Ho Township on Tuesday made a quick come back to work after a long New Year holiday break. As early as 0730 hours, private businesses had made their presence felt in the streets, with many displaying their wares.

By 0800 hours people were seen scattered around some of the major banks, waiting for the doors to be opened for them to transact business. The central market area and main bus terminal were the busiest with people transacting various kinds of businesses including travelers.

Attendance at the Ministries was appreciable as compared to previous years. Workers at the various decentralized ministries, departments and agencies reported on time and were seen going about their normal work schedules as at 0830 hours.

Mr Charles Mensah, a Public Servant, said having taken enough rest during the holidays, it was appropriate for all workers to report to work on time with full strength and work for the good of the nation.

"We must follow the President's declaration of an action year and work harder, make use of every minute," he added.
