A heavy load fell off a trailer, smashing two vehicles reportedly on Wednesday, November 11, 2024.

A video of the incident, which has gone viral, showed the moment the heavy load fell off the back of the moving trailer.

The load fell onto the head of a truck transporting tubers of yam and another vehicle adjacent to it on the left side of the road.

The driver of the truck transporting the tubers of yam is reported to have still been in the truck when the load smashed its head.

The passengers in a public transport, ‘trotro’, from which the video was shot, could be heard praying and shouting as the load was falling off the trailer.

“The driver is still in the car, they have killed him. The driver was in the car, they have killed him,” one man is lamented in Twi.

Most of the passengers could be heard crying.

After the load smashed the vehicles, a security team that was supposedly escorting the trailer drove back to assess the situation.

Commuters in other vehicles using the road could be seen running for their lives.
