The Leadership Revolution program held for over 1500 students in Ebenezer Senior High School on 11-12-2019 organized by Hop-lite Leadership Foundation.

Hajia Amina Sammo, Director of Programs/Social Services at Inner Cities and Zongo Dev. Ministry was the special guest speaker at the program.

She began by making reference to how fortunate the students were due to facilities they have that was a privilege to few schools back in her school days. ‘Light, fan etc. these were luxury in our time’ she said.

She then narrated her humbling beginning in how she was retrogressing in form 1 and 2 from 6th to 11th-20th out of 50 students at a point, and how things began to turn around.

‘When I occupied the 20th position it was the time I knew I had to take some hard decisions to make my parents (My mum a Teacher and my Dad a driver and a strict disciplinarian proud) i.e. a consistent 3hrs reading every day after school .This new habit propelled her to the second position in class and like they say the rest was history.

She reiterated that there is no short cut to success; she demonstrated this by making a comparison of how it took God 7 days to create everything in the world even though he could have done it in a day.

These stories and experiences shared on the program are designed to motivate, empower and cause a change in behavior towards academic, career achievement and fulfilment in Life.

On the program resource persons are required to share stories of how they were able to rise to the top in spite of glaring challenges, and also share their advice with students based on the many experiences or accumulation of experiences they have so students can build on it and do more.

She captured the second objective of the event with a presentation ‘The 25 before 25 thus the 25 things I wished I had learned before turning 25 years.
