Mr Henry Ametepe, Volta Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday declared his intention to retain the position to “revitalize” the Party for the 2016 general elections.
He said, “the 2016 elections will not be a child’s play. It is not a joke. It is a serious business and I’m responding to calls for experienced hands to revitalize our Party for a good victory.”
Mr Ametepe made the declaration at the sideline of the Krachi-West Constituency conference at Kete-Krachi.
He said his main aim is to mobilise resources for “a great campaign that will move the whole region to the Party.”
“We don’t want to leave anyone out of our camp in 2016. It is operation all the votes and people know my record in resource mobilization. It is part of me”, Mr Ametepe stated.
The organizer said he mobilized some 300 motorbikes for the Party in the region, 100 of which were his efforts and said more of such innovations and strategies were needed to reposition the region for victory.
About 53 contestants will be vying for various positions at the regional congress scheduled for Saturday, September 27.
