Saltpond, May 2, GNA - The Mfantseman District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Robert Quainoo-Arthur has called on workers to improve their relationship with those that they serve to make them feel free to approach them with their problems.

Addressing the Mfantseman District Council of Labour at Saltpond to mark the May Day, the DCE said excellent relationship particularly between nurses and patients could help them to forget about their sorrows and could even heal their ailments.

He urged members of the Council to talk about the district mutual health insurance scheme not only at their work places but also in the communities as well to encourage more people to register. Mr Quainoo-Arthur commended the workers for the excellent relationship between them and the district assembly and urged them to keep it up.

He admonished them to refrain from behaviour, which could retard productivity such as lateness to work absenteeism and malingering. The DCE commended the leadership of the Council for marking the Day with clean-up exercises, tree planting, health walk, Church service and a durbar and assured them that the Assembly would continue to support them and solve their problems promptly.

Mr P. A. Owusu, Secretary of the Council thanked the DCE for supporting labour activities.
